Our fork lift training course

Our lift truck training course provides Road Transport Industry Training Board (RTITB) testing for operators on all types of fork lifts including:

If you have no prior experience operating a fork lift, then you’ll need to book our novice lift truck training course. This course will teach you everything there is to know about fork lift operation. The duration depends on your individual skills and the amount of people attending the course. For a single candidate, it can be completed in as little as three days. If there are more people signed up and some additional practical exercises may be required, it may take up to five days.

For customers who have had some lift truck training before, we offer a refresher course to ensure your qualifications are current and your operating skills are up to date. This is normally a one day course regardless of the amount of attendees.

The MSM Training centre is RTITB and ALLMI accredited and all of our teachers are endorsed by the DVSA. Every instructor is also accredited via the National Register of LGV Instructors. This way we can ensure that every team member possesses the instructional skills and practical techniques required to maintain the high standards we have set for ourselves.

Every driver who finishes our lift truck training course will be presented with an RTITB certificate and a driver card upon completion. This certificate will be valid for three years. Their details will also be added into the National Operator Registration Scheme (NORS) database. A refresher course will need to be taken after three years should the operator wish to continue working with fork lifts.

We are the only fork lift training provider in Dorset with our own fully equipped training centre that includes offices, classrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, private areas for reversing and manoeuvring, as well as onsite parking.
