What Is CPC Training?

Driver CPC came into effect in September 2008 for bus and coach (PCV) drivers and in September 2009 for lorry (LGV) drivers. The Driver Certificate of Professional Competence aims to improve road safety and maintain high standards of driving.

If you are a driver in Hampshire, driver CPC training is compulsory. So, whether you already hold the qualification and need periodic training, or you need to obtain your qualification, look no further than MSM Training Ltd.

For those who already hold a qualification for driver CPC training in Hampshire, you will need to complete 35 hours periodic training over every 5 year period. This is in order to maintain your CPC status.

If you have yet to gain your qualification for driver CPC training, Hampshire drivers will need to complete Modules 2 and 4 of the Initial Qualification. Alternatively, if you passed your Category B (Car) test prior to January 1997, you can choose whether to complete the 35-hour periodic training or the modules.
