ADR training adds a desirable quality to your logistical abilities. The ability to safely transport vital, but dangerous, materials, goods and substances by road is highly sought after by transport agencies and businesses. As you might imagine, not everyone can walk into an ADR training in Dorset course. There are some rules and regulations that must be adhered to before initiating your training. Any driver that comes under the Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road Regulations 1996 must possess a vocational training certificate by law. Our course is approved by the DfT, Department for Transport, and anyone wishing to qualify for ADR Training Dorset must pass any relevant SQA, Scottish Qualification Agency, examinations.

In addition to qualifying you for haulage and transportation of dangerous goods, the course we provide also contributes 21 hours towards your Driver CPC Periodic Training. That leaves just 14 hours to complete the five year top-up of your Driver Certificate of Professional Competence. There is the option to attend an ADR Training Dorset refresher course before the expiry of your licence, up to a maximum of 12 months, without losing any hours on your licence.

The three day Dorset ADR training course is inclusive of the following elements:

• Core
• Packages
• Tanks
• Classes, excluding class one and seven

The classes included are:

• Class 2 – Gases
• Class 3 – Liquids
• Class 4 – Solids
• Class 5 – Oxidising Agents
• Class 6 – Toxic and Infectious Substances
• Class 8 – Corrosives
• Class 9 – Miscellaneous

Class one (Explosives) and Class seven (Radioactive) are not included in this particular ADR Training in Dorset course. Our five day training course does include class one and seven. Training for these courses is held between the hours of 0800 and 1600 at our site MSM Training, Jubilee Farm, Burts Lane, Mannington, Wimborne, Dorset, BH21 7JX.
